Ingredient Spotlight: Ginger

Have your tried our ginger green tea truffles? We’ve gone on and on about the benefits of dark chocolates but what about our other whole-food, plant-based ingredients?

Other than being a great palate cleanser, ginger is also great for stomach and digestive issues. Ginger can help settle an upset stomach or even improve digestion.

Okay so you already knew that, what else can ginger do? It can actually reduce sore muscles. Adding ginger into your daily diet can decrease muscle pain and soreness over a period of time. In fact, one study showed that ginger powder is as effective as ibuprofen in the management of pain after surgery.

Some studies have also looked at gingers' affect on cholesterol, blood sugars, cancer prevention, and other states of inflammation within the body, showing improvement when ginger is added to the diet.
